These three Etchings with Chine Colle form three separate series of varied edition prints. Each work is focussing on a selected object from a collection inherited from my late father, a slide rule with case, an open medal box that housed a medal from my grandfather and a sewing roll made by my father in the Navy. These objects originally came to life during lockdown when we unearthed them from our cellar. As an artist with an interest in cataloguing and archives, I began to record the detail of these objects - the fingerprints, scratches, and traces of handwriting that mark the passage of time and hold personal significance. Through drawing and intaglio printmaking techniques, I aimed to capture and preserve some of these memories.
