Dis/Connect explores the fragility of human connection in the face of emotional, physical, and psychological dislocation. Featuring new and existing works by Nicky Nadine, Kelan Andrews and Renee Nie, this exhibition delves into the tension between rupture and intimacy; exploring how we stay tethered to ourselves and to others when the world around us becomes uncertain.

Through painting, sculpture, and installation, the artists probe the complexities of navigating disconnection—from chronic illness and medical trauma to the fragility of relationships in a virtual world. Kelan Andrews’ sculptural works reflect on the struggles of living with chronic illness and the impact on personal identity, while Nicky Nadine’s work blends emotional depth with material fragility, questioning the nature of human connection in the face of adversity. Renee’s video and metal works chart the intersections of love, loss, and distance—both physical and emotional.

Dis/Connect invites viewers to consider the brokenness, resilience, and quiet beauty that arise from moments of rupture. The exhibition reflects on what it means to be human in a world that constantly shifts beneath us, and how we rebuild connections in the aftermath of fragmentation.
