Benjamin Rostance

I made this art in response to my lived experience of growing up in a working class, poor family in the heart of Nottingham City Centre in the mid 80's and early 90's. Each piece speaks about the journey of surviving an abusive childhood and fining coping mechanisms in life to overcome the difficulties of such an upbringing. I work very hard to bring honest and direct conversations from the council estate to the gallery and to engage with the audience in a genuine way in order to share my lived experience of an abusive and working class childhood.
